Fayette County Special Olympics (Dragons) provides many opportunities to local athletes with disabilities thriving themselves to pursue physical fitness, involvement in athletic competition, sharing friendship with other athletes, friendship with families, and our great communities of Fayette County.
Eligibility: For anyone who has intellectual disability; must be at least eight years of age to participate.

In Fayette County almost 100 athletes participate in Basketball, Unified Softball, Track and Field, and Flag Football.
FACT (Fayette Advocating Change Together) is a self-advocacy organization composed of individuals of all ages from across the county. The group is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities to speak up for themselves and others, engage in meaningful discussions, and build lasting relationships.
Meetings are held on the first business day of the month at 6pm at Fayette County Board of DD. Each session focuses on important topics related to self-advocacy, personal development, and community engagement.
